Due to the COVID_19 pandemic, the European Network for Training Evaluation and Research in Mental Health (ENTER) changed the annual Conference ”Nursing in mental health: the changing role of nurses in mental health and psychiatry in Europe” planned in Paris May 2020 in the series of webinars.
The conference was to be organised in partnership with the GHU Paris, which is part of the ENTER network through the presence of the members of the Mental Health and Human and Social Sciences Research Laboratory Tim Greacen (President from 2014 to 2018) and Emmanuelle Jouet (Vice President for Training since 2018).
The series of webinars will give members and of the Enter and their partners a safe possibility to present and listen some of the interesting presentations prepared for the conference. Instead of a long seminar day, you will have a series of 2 hours seminars planned, and it will take place once a month, on Thursday. It will start in autumn and last till January 2021.
The main conference theme “Nursing in mental health: the changing role of nurses in mental health and psychiatry in Europe” was selected to celebrate nurses working in mental health and psychiatry, the year 2020 has been designated as the Year of the Nurse and the Midwife by the World Health Organization in recognition of theirs contributions and the risks associated with nursing shortages.
The conference purpose and the aim of the webinars are to spread and develop knowledge that concerns research, the best practices in mental health and psychiatry around Europe and the world, especially about the changing role of nurses in interdisciplinary teams.
And at last, the other purpose is to connect professionals, researchers, students and healthcare leaders for ideas to grow beyond the webinars program.
